I have said it often, but Autumn brings out the hermit in me. I dig myself a little hole, fill it with animal crackers (mmm, animal crackers!) and start my hibernating away from the blogging world. Evidently, this started a whole month earlier than anticipated. I am making A LOT. Steady stream of portrait and reborn work, but I’m not writing about it (evidently, ahem).
I’ve fought myself about this in the past. But I’m not now. I’m through forcing myself to be someone I’m not. It’s Thanksgiving weekend here in Canada, and the closest I got to turkey supper was a lemon meringue pie, or as Sneaky calls it ‘Ringing Rang Pie!’ (and for the record, he only likes the meringue).
I had full intention of mailing off two custom orders today, before realizing the post office is closed. And so now, I’ll play catch up on my Etsy orders, line up a few more blog posts in the cue, and return to the studio to paint.
Happy Autumn anyway, Blogosphere!
What are you happy about right now?
I’m super excited that our new house has a maple tree in our front yard. And the leaves turn red! RED! We have the prettiest tree on our street! A far cry from our last home which was sans tree for half the time we lived there, and had a tree that didn’t even get leaves yet the rest of the time! 😀
Oh & these. Mmmmm, animal crackers I can digest*! They have renewed my love affair with Earl Gray.
*Yes, I’m coeliac. I’m 7 years, this month, wheat free. Subway, I still miss you!
